When you visit La Manga Club, the choice is yours of whether you fill your day with activities, or simply choose to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Either way, there's an exciting range on offer.
You might want to begin by an exploration of the resort and the surrounding area. You can do this on mountain bike, on foot, by horseback, boat or car. The Spanish cities of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca are all close by and offer a vast treasure trove of local colour, history and culture. And once you've exhausted some the many delights to be found, you can relax by the pool, head for the beach, or book yourself a quality massage or facial.
Hyatt Regency La Manga has its own large, heated swimming pool which is conveniently located just a few steps from your hotel bedroom and overlooks the 18th green of the North Course. Open all year round, the pool has a separate babies' pool, a children's play area for those under eight years old, and an ample sun terrace. Alongside the pool, Sol y Sombra offers tasty light meals, thirst-quenching refreshments and frosty ice creams.
There is another large open-air swimming pool near the Tennis Centre, which is open during the summer months and has three separate depth sections to cater for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
The resort has its own secluded Mediterranean cove, La Cala, located approximately ten minutes by car or shuttle bus from the hotel. This attractive small beach is set against a stunning backdrop of cliffs and, during the summer months, offers a full range of facilities including lifeguard, shower and La Cala beach restaurant, which specialises in fresh Mediterranean seafood.
There are numerous other beaches in the local area, on both Mediterranean and Mar Menor coasts. The Mar Menor beaches are particularly popular with families with young children, because the warm, shallow water offers bathing fun for all ages.
